RCI filler plate install

Did you have to bend the tabs or the filler plate at all, or did it line up easily? Do you have pictures of how it lines up to the front skid plate and the bumper tabs?

Hey, sorry I thought my photo uploaded with that post. I guess it didn't go through. I attached a pic of it below.
The plate lined up and installed without any problems. I loosened the front skid plate bolts first and slid the filler plate into there. Tightened the bolts to the bumper tabs then proceeded with the skid plate bolts. No bending needed.

Hmm, I wonder if the Trail has lower bumper tabs that happen to line up with the 2010-2013, whereas the SR5 is different maybe? I thought the only difference was the grey vs body color in the center...I can't imagine that there's any variance in the vehicle construction that would result in a 1.5" difference. Maybe 0.25" here and there, but that seems like too much.

For the '14-'15 SR5/TE, they have the same exact bumper except the TE has the front plastic valance clipped on. Other than that, they are the exact same bumper. My buddy has a TEP and his filler plate installed w/o problems. Not sure about the earlier models though. Mine is an SR5.

That's unfortunate as I've got one sitting in the garage to go on my truck.
Well that's frustrating, I wonder if I got a filler plate for a different vehicle? You didn't have to remove anything from the front skid plate area right? As you can see, my front skid is bolted on directly to that front rail under the radiator, but when I put the filler plate on there is way too much of a gap.
On top of that, while it's hard to show in a picture you can see that the drilled hole on the filler plate is about 0.25" off from being lined up with the bumper tab bolt. Not sure if the bolt would go in clean or if it would go in at enough of an angle to cross thread even if I could get the plate to line up with the bumper tabs...

I am starting to think that [MENTION=110242]ur2ez22[/MENTION] might have gotten a wrong filler plate (for gen4?)
I emailed him a few times and never got a response of any kind.
I have heard that calling is your best bet.

x2 on that. When he first started making skids for 5th gens two years ago he was very responsive on emails. Since then I think he has gotten busier and email is less reliable. Every time I've called he has been great and very helpful.

Thank you - I can't see anything with your frame/mounting/etc. that is different than mine. One last question, if you have time...would you mind measuring from the ground to the bottom bolts (where the filler plate and front plate overlap) and then from the ground to the top bolts (where the filler plate attaches to the bumper tabs)?
Obviously the height from the ground will vary depending on lifts, tires, etc. but the different between the two measurements should be very close. Mine is right about 4 inches, maybe slightly more than that...

Yes, installed with zero problems. Worked great! I was the first test subject. This plate was meant for non-KDSS trucks though.
Now with the front bumper I no longer have it as the bumper comes with a filler plate to match up with my front skid.

I'll get some measurements when I get off work. Shouldnt be too much. I'm just on 5100s set at 2.5" and rear with 1.5" spacers.

My first order with RCI back in December 2014, Josh was really prompt in answering my emails and got my powdered red skid plate out to me in less than 1.5 weeks.
Second order in March for a powdered coated filler plate took exactly a month. Lots of emails weren't answered so I had to call him to see what was going on. Also, as advertised on his site all installation hardware was included for the filler plate but mine didn't come with any. Not a big deal but could've save some time going to Lowe's and Home Depot for some M6 bolts and washers had they came with the plate.
Not to be a pest, but any chance you were able to take those measurements?
