I've got the 890's and find I don't have enough lift with them. Not much rake, and I'm running the toytec spacer in the front with my stock setup. I've already bought the same Tundra stuff you did, and am now looking for some 7 or 8 wrap LC coils for the back........

I can't personally comment on the 891's but as Ron has pointed out, they can be stiff without any weight in the rear.......I've heard this before somewhere else........

hey PB, i think u should buy my 891s and OME comfort shocks... itll save u some money and i would love the extra cash and to get them off my hands!

Ya dude i didnt have a problem with running the 891s... i only traded up to LCs bc i nvr have that much weight in the rear and wanted to swap out for more height. I think the ride wasnt too bad, i mean it was a little stiffer but rode like most trucks and i drove my 14 month old to daycare an around town all the time with no problems. I drive over spped bumps sometimes kinda fast and still not bad.

I say if ur set on running 891s, go for it bc u dont wanna buy something else and regret it. Worse case scenario u can always find someone to swap or buy 890s and sell the 891s...

Also i think the LCs are nice bc they are taller but will show rake with heavy loads and have a sag to them after transporting loads back and forth.

891s did give me maybe another half inch of lift in the back, I had forgotten. But you can see everyone has their own theories. I loved em at first but they got old real fast. Kind of depends on the types of roads you travel and how well maintained they are.

Loaded up with several hundred pounds of gravel in back of the Runner I must admit the 891s smoothed out the ride very nicely. But on a routine empty ride I favor the 890s quite a bit more.

So which ones did you order 890s or 891s? I am leaning towards the 890s because I know someone that had the 891s and they said their not empty dd friendly

891s. I know they'll be stiff but it seems to be 50 50 on being acceptable for a dd. I'm gonna take my chances and love them when I load up all my camping stuff or mountain bikes. Ill let you know once I get it installed
