Real World MPG with 5th Gen?

Dang, man. What's your average mph on the highway? I do notice mpg is way better at 70mph than the 75-80 I like to drive at, but just curious what other habits you might be employing that are getting you such awesome mileage.

The trip to Vegas was biased towards good mileage with fairly level travel, not too much traffic and being able to stay in cruise control at 70 MPH from Cajon Pass to State Line.

2018 TRD ORP here getting 18.5mpg around town. I’m 100% city with no highway. Lots of traffic lights and such so very stop and go for me. I’ll assume when I add a roof rack and sliders I’m going down into the 15-16 range...

2015 SR5 - this is winter driving (stock size Nokian Hakkas, Yakima roof box on full time, some extended driving on snow/ in 4hi and occasionally carrying around a layer of snow/ice). Also, I live in British Columbia so highway driving is in mountainous terrain. Calculated with each fill up using "fuel buddy" app.

Ranges between:
"mostly city" = 80 city/20 hwy = 16.2 mpg
"mostly highway"= 20 city/80 hwy = 19.4 mpg

My daily commute is 100% city driving - so i'm usually at the low end. Will compare to summer driving with AT tires and no roof box.

Collin...I'm guessing you wont drop that far from sliders and a RR...my recent drop was from 18.5 to 17.5 from stock dunlops to BFG 265s... I think bigger heavier tires and more surface friction will be the biggest drivers of reduction...

More data for the grinder. Since picking up fuelly, averaging 18.6 in my stock 5th Gen LE.

I routinely get 17.7 in daily driving (some interstate, but mostly dropping the kids off at school).

Worst I got was 17.2 burning down I-20 (through Dallas) fully loaded.

Best I got was 20.1 burning 85 on Colorado highways, fully loaded.

Mind twister you can get 18mpg city in exact same vehicle myself and others get 4-5mpg less. You lucky guys that get better mpg when my stock tires go (and at 19k miles they already seem pretty worn!) I’m glmna be careful to go mild AT as to not make my mileage any worse!

Running a very consistent combined mileage of 16.9 with awning, RTT and 285 BGF's. Removing tent averages 17.4 mpg

Mine has a lift and armor, and gets between 12 - 15 on the MPG readout. My snorkel probably doesn't help the MPG.

2018 Limited 2WD w/3rd Row. Cant break 15.9 in the city and I do not have a lead foot and keep it in Eco 75% of the time.

Fuel economy.

My 2016 TEP totally stock was getting 19.3mpg. However, just added Daystar soacer kit F/R and 285 Ridge Grapplers, so this could get interesting to watch...

Bone stock 14 with 34k running lowest octane at the pump. Just took a road trip of 2100 miles. 95% of trip was freeway cruise set at 88MPH, 3 passengers, and 3 days worth of their stuff.

I averaged overall 19MPG according to the computer and 19.3MPG based on actual fuel used/mileage. 18.4mpg on way out, but had a great tail wind coming back for half a day that noticeably increased our mileage. I was pretty impressed as I expected to be in the 15 range based on the speeds.
