i think i put lucas in last time. can remember. anyways, seein what yall use. i know i need to change mine and am tryin to figure out what to replace it with.

the cheapest 75-90 or 80-90 i can find. My lock right works better with the lighter oil.

so you use the low $ (i.e. $5-10 a bottle) stuff? i just walked over to advance auto next to my office and they have the cheap advance brand for $5 for the 75w90. i guess ill give it a whirl.

Yeah it was $11 a gallon last time I bought gear oil. It seems to work real good.

That super thick oil quiets it down a bit but the lockers, gears, and bearings were meant to be in 75-90 or something close. that thick oil made my LR want to slip when it was cold out.

Replaced w cheapo 80w90 from advance. Man, I really needed to change it bad. Much better now

I used 85-140 Lucas which performed flawlessly for years. Cut down on the noise as well.
