Im having issues getting the universal tire mount studs to line up with my spare. Looks like I bought the right 6 bolt pattern and I used the three inner circle but the studs are just slightly off. Anyone know how to fix?

it was just that they were not entirely straight. I pulled them again with a torque wrench and hit them with a mallet to ensure they were straight enough.

Started the install this morning. The large bolts that bolt to the frame (2 on both sides) were too short just like [MENTION=314855]Off-Camber[/MENTION] so I had to go to a specialty hardware store to buy them. They didn't have the bolts at Home Depot or Lowes. Tried to install the spindle into the right side bumper and it would not go in. Tired to put the same spindle in the left and went right in. Looked at the cavity closely and noticed the top hole did not match the cavity. And just realized that I didn't receive the tire carrier as well. P by maybe a millimeter. Pretty disappointed right now. Too late to contact CS right now so will have to wait till tomorrow to contact them.

It looks like you tried to clean it up by re-drilling to match the spindle opening. Maybe use a Dremel grinder to smooth out the side to get them better aligned.

That's silver colored anti seize. I don't have the tools or the know how to do all that. As soon as I couldn't get the spindle to go in, I stopped.

Oh no, that stinks. I went with 8.8 12-1.25×50mm to make sure I had enough length. I used 2 5/16" square washers as spacer between the frame and bumper mount. The 5/16" was to have enough play in the hole to move them around to fit the bolts in the hole. Thickness was just over 3/16", probably about 7/32" thick. It worked perfectly.

Sorry to hear about the spindle. Mine slid in like a glove. I used a little Aeroshell 33 moly grease on the spindle and sleeve just for a little extra slickery!

No, the wheel will not go over because the license plate bracket is too large. If you custom rigged it up where only the camera mount was attached to the inner bracket it might be doable. It's not too hard to get the wingnut off. I've taken mine off multiple times already just tweaking everything.

It seems they need to provide four longer bolts for those holes. Did you see my solution for one side? I used a bolt from the factory tow hook to bring the bumper closer to frame. I was then able to get the new bolt installed next to the old bolt. Removed the old tow hook bolt and then installed the second new bolt. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for the other side so I just used the bolts from the tow hook to mount to frame. Victory CS is incredibly excellent. I’ve reached out via every platform and have always received a super speedy response.

FYI for those who are OCD like myself. Disclaimer: I 100% understand why the bolt holes on aftermarket steal bumpers are elongated. You gotta have room for error when manufacturing to the masses. However, when I torque down bolts and the washer caves inward to the shape of the hole due to uneven pressure it really annoys me.

Well, after probably 100 trips to Fastenal and a few cracked washers I think I found the perfect washer. I used 1/2" through-hardened structural washers. They have the same inside (1/2") diameter and outside diameter as the washers the bumper came with. I only used them on the M12-1.25 bolts but they didn't budge when torquing them down to 60ft-lb. Even with uneven pressure from an "offset" hole. They are roughly double or triple the thickness of the stock washers and the bolts still had plenty of threads to go through the frame nuts.

Just FYI for you OCD tweakers.....and NO, I don't mean the ones on Meth!

I used 2 zinc plated square washers that were about 3/16" thick to put between the frame rail and bumper mount. Then bought 50mm M12-1.25 bolts to fit the gap.

Thanks Off-Camber. I was referring to the Adventure Carrier spindle not going in the sleeve because of alignment issues. It sounds like you got yours all dialed in. I hope when they ship mine that it comes with upgraded hardware. :dancin:

My rear camera relocation kit came with a red light. If I wanted to wire that in, I’m assuming I could just tie that into the same green wire as I did with the LED light that came with kit?
