Rear Cargo Area Load Capacities?

Looking to see if any of you that have purchased a 2010 4Runner might have this information in their owner's manual. I know what the load capacity of the sliding tray (440 lbs) is when extended, but is there an increased load capacity in the rear cargo area when the tray is recessed? For those of you that have either the optional 3rd row seating (and folded flat), or a TE with a solid bed, is there a different weight capacity provided for the rear storage area?

I don't think the Trail Edition has the option of a solid bed; I believe the sliding tray is standard in the TE. It was in mine and it was not listed as an add-on.

I think I've seen a picture on the forum of an SR5 without the tray and I know that the 4-cyl interior photos on the Toyota website show no tray (so maybe it's default not to have one in the 4-cyl models).

I remember rearding somewhere that the cargo area of the model with a 3rd row seat was capible of holding more cargo weight than the sliding tray. It was like 500ish LBs for the tray and 700ish for the 3rd row seat... Pretty big difference.

I'm sure they're assuming 500lbs while still able to slide the tray forward and back.

Just following up for those that might have a concern over the weight capacity of the cargo area. I had e-mailed Toyota USA with my original question. The reply I received stated that the sliding deck would hold up to 970 pounds in the retracted position; vice the 440 pound capacity when extended. The 3rd row seat option (when seats are folded down) only provides a 670 pound capacity.

Now I have to go and look at the approved loading weight for the rear axles -- 970 seems like quite a bit
