Rear Dome Light Help Needed

What's is going on gents? I am having an issue with my rear dome light. It does not seem to want to come on at all. Bulb has been replaced already and all my other lights work fine. I swear I have read on here somewhere about someone having the same issue but cant seem to find the thread anymore. Maybe someone has a link? or even better...a solution? If I can remember correctly I want to say it had something to do with removing a panel? Maybe one of the top trim pieces to find a ground wire that can easily be broken over time from movement. Thank you in advance! :thanks:

im curious on this as well mine does not work in the cargo area either, i however do have led lights in all my map and dome lights but it will not work with the stock bulbs either, and my dome light in the middle and the reading lights work fine with led

Actually, I have both non-LED and LED bulbs, I tried both and neither work in the rear but all the others work (front maps, as well as middle dome) both with regular and LED lights. That is orig. why I bought a new set bc the rear wasnt working figured it was just time to change my bulbs out. I didnt have my meter with me at home I left it at work but I am going to go out there here in a second. Any idea which way it runs through the roof? Down the LT or RT side? Through the roof to the middle dome? Ill post up my results in a bit here...

Ok welll...... :wtf: ...I go outside Fluke MM in hand ready to test...pull the bulb without operating the switch first "knowing" its not working...switch to DOOR mode and get a good reading...switch it to ON...another strong current...put the LED bulb in...works like a champ! Maybe the bulb wasnt in correctly but I promise it has never worked...my guess is a short somewhere, I will have to wait I guess until it doesnt work again and trace the issue...I still think it could be that ground cable I remember reading about that can break easily...
