rear-end backlash

Took her in today to get the rear-end checked out by a buddy of mine because of the noise coming from the rear-end and turThanks i need a pinion bearing. My question is does this rear-end need to have the backlash set once I pull the pinion out or is this just just like a Ford 9inch which doesn't require it at all and does anyone know what size gear is in these trucks? Thanks

unless they changed how they are building them, then yes it will have side adjusters, and the backlash/preload will have to be set.
