We designed it like that so they can be flipped around and used on the other side of the frame, and they are offset to avoid a weld seam that keeps it from mounting 100% flush though that's really just so it looks nicer. It's just to give you different mounting options.

Due to different 4Runner models having different exhaust tailpipes, not to mention aftermarket exhausts, we know the driver's side will fit fine but can't really guarantee the passenger side will fit unless you visually verify that side has clearance from the hot exhaust piping. I wouldn't want the exhaust to get mangled in an off-axis pull and most recoveries can be made with just the driver's side recovery point.

That said, for those that want the most pulling options, or the most bumper protection as these, at least on FJ's, I've seen take a beating driving down rock ledges and save the bumper from getting hit, we have the option of 2 recovery points. And if for whatever reason the passenger side doesn't fit I'm sure we can work out a refund.

I've been wanting to anyway to avoid crushing the tip while offroading.
I didn't trim enough, it was still pointing straight back and did melt a small part of the rear plastic. Nothing that cant be trimmed to look decent. Also melted the white plastic between the bumper cover and frame. I intent to replace with a real metal bumper some day.
In the mean time, I did clamp a turndown/out to the exhaust pipe and that has prevented further melting of the plastic.

Not sure if the picture loaded but the holes on passenger side are about 1.5" above exhaust

Probably would require cutting of pipe right?

I do have a factor55 recovery point for the hitch but liked the idea of spreading weight n also side recovery if needed in certain situations would be easier

Definitely in for at least one, might get 2 based on the answer or if decided to cut pipe if needed down the line

It will probably rub the exhaust, you could always order a single, mock it up to see if you like fitment, then order another if you decide you like the fitment and want both.

I received the set Friday, painted them Saturday, installed on Sunday. I have to make a decision on the exhaust to make the passenger side usable.

Been meaning to post this up but got mine in the mail about a week and a half ago. They look great and crazy beefy. Wouldn’t be surprised if the working load limit would be 10+ tons lol. That’s a very thick piece of metal to have to bend at a 90* angle, sheesh.

I’ll try to get them painted up and installed on my next days off. Thank you for a great product!
 
We're fresh out of recovery points for this batch, but we still have a number of people interested so we might do another sooner rather than later.

I have a used set for sale, switched to a metal rear with integrated recovery points. PM me if interested. Does not come with new hardware. Located in OR but can ship.
