Rear View Camera HELP

So I set up a rear view camera on my 4th Gen a couple of days ago, then it stopped working. Come to find out, I had run the wires taught underneath the real rolling glass window, and when I rolled the window down it cut the two wires (power/ground and RCA cable). Fortunately, I can fix it.

My question is, how have y'all run your wires in the lift gate to where it doesn't get cut/caught on the rear glass (when rolled down)? Is it best to leave a lot of slack in the wire so it just moves with the glass, or is there a certain way that you can hide the wire from it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Do leave a little bit of slack for both wires, but play with your routing until it no longer catches. Roll the window up and down until you are sure the wires are free. Helps to zip tie them in place to clear the window.

I cut mine several times before I got it right. The worst spot for me was right at the corner where it turns up.

Be careful rolling down your window without the plastic panel on. I rolled the window down without it and it scratched my window and aftermarket tint. The plastic panel actually helps guide the window and keep it off sharp objects.

Couldn't you route the wires around the side panels of the door?

I made the same damn mistake! Like an idiot, rolled down the back window and chopped that wire right in half.

Re-routed the wires as they were split in two and fixed them up out of the way. Leave yourself lots of slack and try to get the zip tied out of the window path
