Rear wheel/axle leak?

I noticed a slight trickle of some fluid down my newly painted wheels the other day but shrugged it off as nothing. Then after going down some dry gravel roads, the dust stuck to the fluid and made it very noticeable. Anyone know what this could be from? Only happens on one side in the back.

Seals

Rear axle seals are leaking. Could be caused by simple seal failure (age) and/or rear axle breather tube clogged. So ya gotta check this and then fix seals. Lots of info on how to here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-g...faq-tutorials-documentation-reference-v2.html

So if my breather is clogged and I clean it out, will I still need to replace the axle seals since there won't be that much pressure on them?

Yes... it's leaking because the seal is blown.
