Rear Window Defoggers

Soon after I purchased my '04 4Runner I noticed that in addition to the rear window in the lift gate the two fixed windows at the read had defogger heating elements also. The other day on a cold morning I got to the office (after a 15 minute drive) and I noticed that the rear window was completely clear of frost but the two rear fixed windows were still frost covered.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should the two rear fixed windows defrost just like the rear lift gate window?
Any other thoughts/suggestions?

the two fixed windows do not have the defoggers. what you are seeing are the in-glass antennas.

Yup, they are called "diversity antennas". Your radio will switch from one or the other depending on which has the better signal.
