Rear window getting stuck (Tried searching)

Like the title indicates I tried searching for the solution and I couldn't find anything that helped.

My rear window rolls down maybe 1 inch max. After I inspecting the rear of the 4runner, I noticed when the window rolls down their appears on the outside hatch (where the window wiper runs into the panel) pinches down on the glass. So after noticing what was happening I used my key fob to activate the window while I used my other hand to hold the base of the window shield wiper to prevent in pinching down on the window and the window rolled all the way down.

Has anyone had this exact issue? I don't even know where to start to see why the that area is pulling/pinching in. Thanks for any help.

Take the panel off the inside of the hatch and remove the black access panels. See if the window has slipped off the tracks, it should not be rubbing on anything, unless you are missing some of the rubber seals. Is the hatch bent at all?

I had this issue a few years ago. What's happening is there is a metal bracket that has bent into the path of the rear window, and when you try to roll the window down, it bends that bracket further into the path of the window, so it gets worse over time.

Take off the interior tailgate panel. Have a friend try to roll down the back window while you look at where the interference is occurring. Once you've spotted the bent bracket, take a crowbar and bend it up and back. Be sure to bend it far back so it can't catch again.

Should only take 20 minutes to fix and put back together. Good luck!
