To start off with I'll mention that I have searched and none of the fixes people mentioned have helped. My key does not actuate the window in either direction.
My issues are the window is stuck in the up position.
I've checked:
1) The switch. It appears to work.
2) The wire loom on the hatch. One wire was cracked, but not grounding. I have since insulated it.
3) All plugs in the hatch are clean and connected.
4) Disconnecting battery for 15-20 minutes.
The issues is whenever I plug in the control box (blue), it actuates the UP relay and the motor gets power but doesn't move. None of the controls overrides it. It supplies a constant 12v power to the window motor.
It almost sounds like it's shorted out somewhere causing this to happen, but the short is continuous and not intermittent.
I've sinced unplugged the blue end plug to prevent the motor from having constant power applied to it, but now that it's summer I'd love the rear window to work! My dog is also missing it.
Anybody have ideas as to why this might be happening? I could try applying power from a battery to the motor to see if it still goes up or down, but something is causing the control box to feel the need to "go up". Maybe overriding the motor and cycling the window via battery might fix a reset button. People who have stuck windows generally need to do this to "reset" the blue box.
Rear wiper does not work. Water sprayer does. Not sure about the defrost. I don't believe it does.
I'll double check the switch again. Anybody know for sure what the prong are on the back? I was just looking for continuity between two terminals in either up or down locations.
Thanks!
