Rear window part?

I am the excited owner of a '98 as of yesterday. This is my first year post here but have been lurking for a bit. Here she is:

Now when the rear window rolled up or down there was a horrible noise when I picked it up. So I took the door apart and found this part just loose inside the panel.

The window now functions flawless but I have no idea where this part belongs and was hoping someone could help ID it so I can put this back together properly.

Thanks, I found the same thing but have not been able to find a diagram to see where it belongs. I am going to go back out to the truck and see if I can figure it out.

Ok figured it out. It goes above the locking mechanism for the hatch. Just a dust and moisture barrier I think.

Thanks for the help

No its not really needed for everything to work. It is basically a shield to keep unwanted thing getting to the lock linkages.
