Rear Window Trim/Cover Plate Part Name?

It's called an applique panel. Part# for left side is 7581635020

Missing as in I had to remove it. I was claying and waxing the lift gate this afternoon when I noticed the plate/panel was loose. I wiggled it a bit and a few plastic pieces fell out of the bottom. Realizing it was very loose I removed it completely. All of the clips on the panel are broken and as you can see in the pic, it looks like the hole is missing one of those receiving clips. I thought it might be from having the roof painted last week but the work order doesnt show them taking anything apart on that end of the vehicle. Having said that, I noticed my white plastic license plate screws were replaced with metal ones... who knows.

Just noticed mine was loose today also , pretty sure if it's intact you can buy the clips & put it back on . Will hit my dealer n am & see what !

Here's the underside of the applique panel. 4 of the 5 clips are broken and they appear to be part of the applique panel itself.

I don't know any thing about the installation or where to find instructions. I knew where to look for the part number because it was on the same page as the back up camera I replaced. ( I put a branch through it when turning around on a tight wooded trail. Odds of that happening, million to one.)

Sounds like they took apart your tailgate too (possibly to blend the paint in with the tailgate?) in which case you could start by asking them to replace the piece for you since it would appear that they broke it during the removal.
Why did you get your roof painted?

I emailed the production manager at the dealership's collision centre and yes he told me they did remove those panels. Told me to come by so they can get it resolved. Had the roof repainted due to scratches from slush on the highway back in April. Was on an off ramp when a truck with a plow caught a snow bank and sent crap flying into the air right on top of my roof. Wasn't a big deal but I wanted it fixed. Had to pay deductible.

Despite being certain those panels actually weren't removed, just the spoiler, the production manager took ownership and will order the part in for me and give me a call when it's in... probably a few days as Canada Day is Jul 1st. He also said the green clips you see in the pic come with the panel so you don't need to remove the spoiler, to install, just click everything in at once.
As for the license plate screws. They replaced with metal because the plastic ones broke when they went to remove. It was unnecessary anyway but I guess the employee thought they had to repair the whole lift gate and hence started taking things apart. Oh well...
