Rear window

So today was a nice sunny day and I decided to put the rear window down. I was cleaning out my rig and then went to the store. When I got to the store I tried putting the window up with the switch but it wouldn't budge. So I got out and put the key in the door to close it. That worked to close it but now I can't even open the window with the switch. Any ideas where it could've come disconnected or if there is a common issue with them?

Need a relay? Let me know...

The relay is in the little blue (or sometimes orange box)inside the tailgate (remove the plastic cover, it will be the box with the wires going into it). There are 6 relays in there, I have no idea which one is for the window, but maybe someone on here does?

Best of luck!

I think Hell hath frozen! It's sunny in Washington and cold and rainy in California?!?!

You may have a bad relay or motor or the window fell off the track. Not sure which relay it is, but you'll have to open up the inside of the hatch to get a good look at what's going on.

Would this still be true if I could roll the window back up with the key? It's just the switch that doesn't make it go up or down. That's why I'm so confused. If it IS a relay then it can wait to be pulled apart (it won't be sunny here for long).

Your switch could have gone bad as well. Pop it out and have a look, could be that it's not making contact? I tested mine with a multimeter and found that it wasn't working correctly. I had to slightly bend the copper switch plate to make it work.

Ignore everything I have said. This entire thread. For anyone that has an issue like this, the first thing you should do is, CHECK THE WINDOW LOCK BUTTON.

I feel like an idiot right now. Lol.
