Rear12 volt outlet question

You're powering a fridge with an inverter? That's a really bad idea, inverters are terribly inefficient and will waste power, keep it 12v for the fridge

He may be doing what I am doing. Not wanting to make permanent mod, I’m using a Jackery solar generator (battery) charged by the 12 volt outlet in the back. I then have the Dometic fridge plugged into the Jackery (12 volt outlet).
I could also charge the Jackery using the 110 volt inverter in the back, but would have to remember to push the dash button every time I restarted the engine, hence my using the 12 volt side. Not sure why he would need to buy a separate inverter.

Yes you could pry it up till it breaks and hope it breaks in the right place.
I just don't roll that way.
I didn't know what other damage would happen.
try Harbor freight for the flexible adapter and trust me it won't be the last time you use this tool.

Yeah, I've been looking at your album. Thanks for that by the way, nice to see how that all worked out. Image 14 and 15 are the ones prompting the questions about how much you lift the tray prior to being able to get the flexible head in there and see what needs to come out.

That is correct.

Hobotech did a video on the Jackery 1000 and found the inverter charges the unit faster compared to a standard car plug.

[MENTION=111688]Rack[/MENTION] I looked at your album (Thanks!) I was able to pry up tray but for life of me I cannot find the screw I am supposed to take out. Anyone have any pics or diagrams?

The tray on the PS can be removed without breaking the screw tabs. Use a flexible screwdriver adapter lift the tray just high enough to guide the Phillips tip flexible head to the screws once your on the screw it break loose in a couple of turns. You can see in the photos in my album I used a plastic pudy knife and pry up on the tray. The tray will go back in but I would not try to reinstall the screws because you will occasionally need to get back in. use some Velcro.

Here are some photos of how I removed the tray.
It may require a small mirror to locate the screws but they only take a couple of turns to remove them.
The photo of the tray shows the location of the taps where the screws are.
I used a fexable adapter on a 1/4" nut driver with a phillips head.
The screws are phillips head.
I was able to put my hand under the tray to guide the driver onto the head of the screws The tray will flex up enough to allow you to do this without breaking.
