Will the DeeZee boards help prevent door dings from cars? I read in another thread that BB Sliders work really nice on taking the impact of an adjacent car door before it comes in contact with the body. I was contemplating buying sliders just for the purpose of a step/running board and also a door catcher. I'll never do enough serious off roading for them to actually function as sliders. Plus I like the kick out version for the rear doors to access stuff on the roof.

That s why I would prefer BudBuilt, but have to mod my Limited for them to fit. I am not willing to remove rocker...so frustrating. These look pretty good, not sure about the door thing.

No offense, I have those in my garage. Could not stand them, clunky, not much room to step, and generally ugly design IMO. Worst part is I bought them after I ad the truck, were not apart of original set up from dealer. Argghhhh!

Have not seen this version pictured on this forum though...I think it would look awesome, kinda look like the BMW X5 running boards. They look more sporty to me vs the chrome being more dressy in my eyes.
Just placed order....will post pics since have not seen this set up yet. The chrome would of been to much with my black wheel set up IMO.

Agree. But I find the all black gets an "aged" kinda look to between dirt and sun. Stainless steel deck I think will look better in the long run. What do I know? LOL.

Yeah the silver deck will match your silver door trim too. Don't forget to post before and after pictures.

I have the stainlss deck on my truck. They weren't my first choice but couldn't turn down the price (about $250 new from a t4r member). Best pic of them I have available:
I'm probably going to have the deck line-x'd black. In the sun it always makes a weird reflection on the side of the truck.

I hate you! Had me thinking all night. I called this morning and had it changed to black/black. Goes better with my "stealthier" look. Actually, you saved me $$. It is $280 out the door!
