Relentless Stingray Lo-Pro Winch Plate Group Buy

Unfortunately Pro's are very rare around us, so I have not had the opportunity to work with one. I think I've only seen 3 of them ever around town. I did manage to get some nice perspective photos from a person on IG with a Pro and based on the photos I do not see any interferences with the Pro skid. We're just holding out until I've had my hands on one to actually test/confirm first hand before advertising their compatibility with the Pro skid.

Also wondering about fit on a TRD Pro.

I wish i was within reasonable driving distance, and you could use mine as a test vehicle.

I would think though, if you start a thread offering an attractive deal for someone with a Pro to be a test vehicle, you would find someone pretty quickly.

I received mine today and have to say I could not be more satisfied with the quality of the bumper. Every weld is perfect and there is not one place that would have to be "cleaned up" before painting. I asked for the grill and frame not to be pre welded and got it just as asked.

If anyone is considering ordering one of these I give it a definite two thumbs up.

Yesterday would have been great since I had a few guys from the site over but it wasn't ready to install yet. I'm hoping in a couple weeks. Next weekend is too busy.

I have it primed. I will install the hinges for the grill first. I will paint the grill and brackets gloss black and might do the grill ring in color matching white. The bumper itself I will use the Rustolium bed liner paint. It will match the sliders. If I wasn't customizing mine I would have got it powder coated from Relentless.

I almost bought one of these yesterday until I realized there's still no word of it fits with the TRD pro skid.

I mean shit at this point I'll buy it and if it doesn't fit maybe relentless could help sell my trd skid?

Also these do come with the option to be powder coated from relentless right?

Looking at the 2 photos below, do you see where the TRD Skid would interfere with the bumper or vice versa? Looks like it would clear without issue, unless I cant see something!

* Looks like either [MENTION=82791]Relentless[/MENTION] needs to purchase a skid or have someone drive one over to their shop so they can or have someone take precise measurements to confirm fitment.

They or the customer could more than likely do a small amount of trimming on the bottom of the bumper to facilitate fitment of the TRD Skid Plate, if in fact it needed it.

In regard to the TRD pro skid- I had some photos sent to me from one guy on Instagram that was very interested in one of our Lo-Pro bumpers and based the the photos I believe it should fit. In a straight side profile photo you can see our bumper matches the profile of the factory bumper cover- and the TRD skid sits just below the factory cover/valence.

From what I see it looks as though it will work, although the possibility of needing to cut or grind down the front lip of the TRD skid is still there until I have one in hand and actually mount it.
It seems as though even if it did contact somewhat at that front lip of the skid it should be easy to get it on so long as you don't entertaining the possiblity of trimming the TRD skid or just upgrading to a stronger aftermarket skid.
We're just finalizing our 5th gen skids now and will have a complete set out for them as well and our skid is completely compatible with all our bumpers

Mine was powdercoated from relentless.

Also, if you want a better option and don't care that much about your TRD skid, why not buy a skid from relentless that will protect your rig better anyway?

I think you're jumping a little ahead of yourself here. First, the skid may work just fine- we just need to determine compatibility.
Second, it's pretty well known that any Toyota factory skid plate isnt up to taking much of a beating and are mostly installed to give the illusion of protection to the vehicles offered with Offroad packages. I think any aftermarket skid would take a better beating and be far more functional than the TRD skid, plus aftermarket skids cover way farther back than the TRD does

I am not arguing the fact, that your skid or any other for that fact is stronger or not.
Don't try to read something into my comment. Just making a statement.

Again, if I desire to purchase your bumper and keep my skid, you ought to be happy I bought your product, and thank me for it.

That's why I said "if you don't care much about the TRD skid". which anybody who plans on using it shouldn't. I would sell the TRD skid before it's banged up and buy a real one.

However, that is just me! If you don't plan on using the skid and it's just for the TRD look, that's solid. I was just giving a suggestion. Your truck, your decision. Don't let anybody else tell you what to do with it if you don't want them to.

I know this is thread is a couple months old but I have a 16 TRD Pro and live close to Sparks. I will call Relentless and see if they mind me stopping by this Friday to see if the skid will work. I will post when I get a definite answer and upload pics when I get mine installed.
