Replacing bulbs in radio/dash/AC controls (PICS INCLUDED)

Hello, does anybody know what bulb is required for the Limited with climate control???my "passenger" bulbs are out.

Check the link in post #9. It has an illustration on what bulb is needed for what.

Dash light color

Am I correct that the orange color of my HVAC lights is created by an orange bulb (or clear bulb with an orange sleeve)?

I went to the dealership to get a replacement for a blown out bulb for the fan level switch. The bulb they gave me is green. Actually it is a clear bulb with a green translucent rubber sleeve over it. When I told the guy that my dash lights are orange, not green, he told me that the orange color comes from a piece on the switch itself.

After reading this post I am starting to thing the parts dept guy does not know what he is talking about.

I'd like to get this settled before opening the dash.

No, some of the HVAC control bulbs have a green sleeve while some are just clear. The parts guy "probably" was selling you the correct bulbs. You can also search for them on Ebay, and even Rockauto has some Dorman replacements for a couple of the part numbers. I got all mine from Ebay (OEM Toyota) and replaced them this past weekend. It is nice to have fully lit HVAC LCD and controls! If I remember correctly, the SR5s take 4 different part numbers (multiples of each PN) while the Limiteds take 5.

I just replaced my HVAC bulbs. They had a green sleeve as well, but they light up orange so you should be all good
