Replacing Door 'Applique'?

2014 Toyota 4Runner Body Doors parts - OEM Toyota Parts

Part number 2. i.e the black vertical plastic bits.

Has anyone removed/replaced these? if so what's the process? Remove the applique clip and then pry?

Is this a hard swap? I'm helping fix one on a friend's vehicle that's pretty beat up.

Looks like it just simply peels off, and is held on by double stick foam tape. Looks like a good cleaning of the surface and re-applying the new one is all that's needed.
