Replacing door speakers, need opinions

in my 03 with the JBL amp I used seperate 6x9's and tweeters, in my 08 with non-jbl, I used a set of matched components. in the 03 sport with JBL I did use the stock crossovers

I ran Alpine Type-S 6x9's and 6.5"s off my JBL amp, they're a good aftermarket stock replacement, I actually have them for sale if someone is interested. For my 08 install I moved to MB Quart components for front and rear because I am going to amp them
 
So thread revival. Both speakers in my rear doors went out and I will for sure be replacing those and possibly the front doors depending on the price. So my question is, what make and what wattage would y'all suggest if I'm listening to basically every genre of music. And also if I had the JBL with nav, is it RDS or non RDS?

Well searching the internet for hours has landed me back here : )

Quick question, OP you replaced your HU, 6*9s and rear speakers.. did you get an adapter and keep the JBL amp?

If so, did you notice a drop in performance from your 6x9's as you replaced them with 4 ohm 6*9s rather than 2 ohm 6x9s..I think stock 6x9s are 2.9 ohm so the 4 ohm alpine S would not be as loud.

Looking to do the same thing you did by simply cutting out the stock 6x9s and replacing with after markets. Keeping it simple and one step at a time.

Ya i did and it's a huge improvement over JBL. HUGE. The sound is much more lvel with my ears and clearer and louder. I highly recommend replacing the tweeters too

Thanks for that. What HU did you end up going with?
I went down this path before and seeing that you need a new bracket and everything to fit a double DIN head unit in to the JBL location I though to hell with it.

Going to order some JBL GTO938 6" x 9" for the front. Am waiting for my Pioneer shallow mount 8" sub to arrive to throw that in. Hopefully that will keep me happy. The Stock JBL sound system is difficult to enjoy..

I did the alpine cde 133 BT - simple, everything that I need. The rear sub improvement (I did the JL amp/sub) is awesome.
