Replacing passenger door glass in a '92

New to the forum, I've searched for this topic before posting this thread to no avail. I have the new glass to install, and from what I see it doesn't appear that it is going to be to tough (prob just jinxed myself). Any basic help would be greatly appreciated.

It's very simple.
Roll the window down
Remove the door panel.
The glass sits in a metal channel that is mounted on the raise/lower
Mechanism by two screws.
Remove the two screws and pull the glass up and out.
Pry the metal channel off and put in on the new glass.
Reverse process to install.

Thanks fourwd1, I didn't see your post until after the wife and I installed it (yeah, good quality time). I failed to mention the glass was shattered. We actually had to take the small window out. But it really wasn't all that difficult of a job. We saved ourselves alot of money doing it ourselves. Glad I stumbled on this forum though, I see me using the knowledge contained regularly. Thanks again.

Out of curiosity, what's the trick to removing the door panel? I have the three screws out at the door handle and the two in the arm rest, but I don't know if the remaining clips are the push/snap or lift/pull variety. I don't want to bust the clips off trying to figure it out, and of course my manual hasn't arrived yet.

They are just snap in tabs around the perimeter. Use a screw driver to find and gently pop them out. They attaché to the panel and go into a hole in the door.

So one more hurdle, I have the panel loose but the door handle appears firmly rooted in place. I have the screw removed but the mechanism is acting like it's still attached somehow. Does it pop out somehow? It won't move even when I pull the latch to open the door.

I can't remember if you slide it toward the engine bay or backward, but you do one or the other. You dont need to much force either. It's shaped so you have to slide it to "unlock" it from the panel.

Don't worry about it. I think I actually had to look it up online the first time. Spent a good half hour messing with it going "why the hell won't it come off..." Ha!
