I recently replaced front struts (coil and strut-Bilstein) from a 4X4 2000 Tacoma. Still same height but ride quality is almost like a car! I go over the same bumps I used to go with 4runner stock strut/springs and, man..... I don't feel it!

I recently lifted my rig with the adjustable Bilstein 5100's meant for the Tundra/Sequoia in the front and kept my stock springs. They're set on the top notch and ride great. I believe they make an excellent strut for light off roading and daily driving. I purchased the Rancho RS5158 shocks for the rear and I would say they ride ok. I've only had the rears on for a few days so I'll have to wait and see. Just my .02
