Rest in Peace SeattleMike

RIP Mike...

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.I am a thousand winds that blow;I am the diamond glints on the snow.I am the sunlight that ripened grain;I am the gentle autumns’s rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush,I am the swift uplifting rush,Of quiet birds in circled flight.I am the soft star that shines at night.Do not stand at my grave and cry.I am not there; I did not die.

Michael I know you can read this so I'll say farewell and thanks for being a part of the forum and our collective lives! Fair winds, following seas and smooth sailing my friend!

BTW...say hi to Dad and Dee for me and keep a watchful eye on your wife and family - just don't scare them!

Catch you on the other side some day.

Michael L.

RIP Mike.

God Bless your family doing this hard time for them.

I am sure you are in a better place now....We can go wheeling whenever I get there :)

You will be missed.

Reading those links, with the health updates, gave me flashbacks of the health problems I had from 2006 - 2010. Mine were not the same as Mike, but after I had almost died twice during that 4 year time span, having 5 major bowel surgeries, dropping over 55lbs off of my 185lbs frame and subsequent small procedures, Mike's story really hit home for me.

I'm healthy now, but reading those posts, brought back some bad memories, and reminds me that LIFE IS A PRECIOUS THING.

I don't want to preach here folks, but like Mike posted once, "Cuddle with your spouse" (something to that effect anyway). Take the time to show your loved ones you care, treat people with respect, and remember....it can all be over in the time it takes to take a breath.

I pray for Mike's Family, and know that he IS now in a better place......

Sincerely,

Rob.

Sad day indeed ....

Read Mike's story starting about a month ago, and it brought tears to my eyes, such misfortune to strike one so quickly.

Thoughts and prayers are with Mike and his family.

RIP Mike, you shall be missed.

Thank you for doing that, I am sure that would mean the world to Mike seeing the impact he has made on everyone here.

My condolences to his family and friends...I remember trading PMs with him a couple years ago when he was looking all over the place for a Shoreline Blue TE and I saw one on my dealer's site (in Hawaii).

He was finally able to locate one closer to his home, but he was set on getting that color, even if it meant shipping one across the Pacific.

I never had the chance to interact with him; but even a cursory review of this thread, his build thread, and their site has left me impressed with the kind of man that he was. My former pastor used to often pray and ask 'that our hearts would be broken by the things that break the heart of God.' It was his way of asking God to help us remember what is TRULY important in life, and to dwell on those things.

It looks like SeattleMike got those things right; darn near everyone here who has interacted with him has said that while he was honest to a fault, he was also helpful to a fault. I will pray that his family would be comforted by a peace and joy surpassing any that this world could give; and that they would know he is no longer in pain.

Since I am new here (joined 12-11-11), and I never had the chance to have any interaction with SeattleMike, I can't really say I know exactly what most of you who knew him are feeling at this time. However I can say by the size of this thread in such a short amount of time that he meant a great deal to many of you. This is something I have complete respect for!

I vow to take the time to personally check out this man's posts on this forum in hopes that I too can learn what he has taught you guys.

My heart goes out to his family... This is truly the hardest time of the year to deal with the loss of a loved one. May he rest in peace!

:sadwave:
