Rest in Peace SeattleMike

I don't know quite what to say but I just stumbled upon these threads and learned about what had occurred. Unfortunately, I did not have the privilege to communicate directly with Mike because I do not frequent the 5th gen threads. He used to notify the mods of spam/issues on the board regularly and really cared about this place. From reading all of Mike's posts, I learned a lot about 4Runners as well as Mike as a person. Unfortunately, life is too short. RIP Mike and I hope you are at peace now... You will be missed around here.
 
I've been gone for a little while. Really bummed about hearing the news of SeattleMike. I'm glad he is in a better place, and want to thank him for all his hard work and dedication to contributing to this site.

Rest in Peace buddy.
 
Have not been on here lately, just saw the sad news. Followed the cargo project earlier in the year.

RIP Mike.

Havent been online in awhile. heard about Mikes condition last year, and wanted to follow up as we have a friend in the same boat now. So sad.

I, too, have not been on in a while, or if I was, I didn't see this somehow. Anyways, I just want to say how much I will miss Mike and his contributions here on these forums. I never knew him, but I sure did love it when he gave me praise for one of my mods. Having him comment positively and publicly on something I did made me finally feel like I was welcome on these forums. To Mike's family and friends, you are in my prayers.
 
Mike was a huge presence on this forum. He will definitely be sorely missed. Keep on modding in the afterworld Mike.
 
I'm a local Seattleite and figured I'd check in to see how Mike's been doing since I had heard of his health problems last year. I had contacted him late last year and hadn't heard from him lately. I don't get on this forum much as it is.

This is just devastating, to say the least. He was such an awesome guy and friend and will be dearly missed. RIP Mike. :( My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fellow 4Runner drivers... what a shame.
 
Very sorry to hear this. I had posted before under my wife's handle (PhysGirl something or another) and always admired Mike's ingenuity and his outrageous camping setup. I hope he went calmly and painlessly.
 
Sorry to reply to this thread so late. I had heard about SeattleMike's passing from Antman, and I wanted to send my condolences. Great guy, great poster - always lightened the mood and provided some humor and insight.

He is missed! God Bless.
 
Just back from deployment and saw this..had always planned to meet up after I moved back up here but my schedule over the past 2 years has been insane with deployments and the work ups associated with them. I caught a few posts when he was going through this last year and very sad to hear that he passed away shortly after I left.

RIP brotha, will always enjoy driving through western Washington and know you'd be doing the same.
