Reup on Factory Maintenance warranty worth it?

Just got a courtesy call from the dealer I bought my 14 trail from, that my last maintenance check up date is tomorrow. Since I didn't know I had such a warranty, I inquired about an extension to take advantage of. Apparently it's 250 bones to fet maintenance covered up to 45k miles. I'm at 23k. Yall think it's worth or? I mean sheesh, iv spent about that much in oil changes

What is a maintenance check up? Sounds like they are finding a way to get you back into the dealership to have you pay for stuff you don't need. Or maybe they're going to see if you want to trade it in for something else. Either way anytime you get a "courtesy" call it's bc they want to sell you something. All Toyotas come with maintenance up til 25k anyways, so if you're not at 25k then you are not due for a "maintenance check up"

With the Toyota service plan for new cars, you shouldn't have spent anything on oil changes thus far. That aside, I don't think the extended service plan is worth it. I was offered one, too, and declined it.

Well I thinks it's 25k or 2 years, who ever comes first. As the new plan would be 45 k or another 2 years whichever comes first. Perhaps, since my maintenance plan expires on the second and perhaps this IS the 25k routine check

Well lesson learned. Iv only done a couple oil changes but they're a lot for tedious in our trucks and typically cost more. Tedious enough that I rather not do myself anyway. So if I paid 250 for another 20k miles in oil changes. That's 4 oil changes plus whatever other maintenance they throw my way. Wouldn't that be worth it?

2 oil changes. Unless they offered you something different Toyota recommends every 10k or two in the first oil change cycle (that why it's never an even number like 30k, so you bring it in for a final tire rotation and sell you on something else). If it's 4 oil changes and a full 30 and 45k service thrown in then it is worth it.

I don't know who your dealership is but it sounds like they're taking you for a ride. Have you actually looked at the maintenance manual? Oil change every 10K. Also it should not cost you more than $50-60 for an oil change from a dealer. You should look around for dealer service specials. I've had an oil change and tire rotation done for $56 from a special. My last oil change was only $48. It might help to read the maintenance manual to know what you need and don't need to have done before paying for services that are not necessary.

Tire rotation every 5k and oil change every 10k.

10k per Toyota 4runner Warranty and Maintenance Guide (That they should have gave you with the owner's manual).

Oh and these dealer service websites. There are Thousands, but I just gave you the first couple off of google. You'll notice that each one has an asterisk for 10K service for synthetic oil. Seriously not trying to be an ass but this information is on this forum and in other places and the other people posting are trying to help.
