Reusing hub flange when replacing front wheel bearing?

As long as the hub isn't tore up, grooved or otherwise damaged you can reuse it. If your bearing is so bad as some of mine were then I'd recommend replacing it too. Make sure you use new inner and outer seals though! They are cheap and your only line of defense against crud in the bearings.

I replaced my R/F bearing/hub assy. about 4-5 months ago. Got a NAPA bearing/hub, and thought I would re-use the outer hub assy., after all, I have replaced bearings on other vehicles before, and have all kinds of tools and a 20-ton press. I got the old assy off the vehicle in about 30 min, and then spent over 4 hours taking the old unit apart, just to reuse the wheel hub and save $70.00. Looking back, I will get a new outer hub with the bearing/hub already assembled next time. It isn't worth the time and effort to try to re-use the old wheel hub unless you have the correct tool to separate the bearing hub from the wheel hub.
Takes my buddy about 2 minutes. Uses some thick flat plate to hug under the bearing flange and pushes the old one off, then presses new bearing on.
