So I recently purchased a 2014 LE have had it for about 6weeks now . I have been searching the fourms and haven't found what I'm looking for so it's time to ask. I have put in brighter reverse bulbs but with the window tint it's hard to see out the window. Without a roof rack ,or cutting holes in the bumper..looking for other alternatives...thought of white strobes on a license plate frame...any other ideas? Don't know if I want to mount them under the bumper either.

Assuming no modifications needed for the bulbs? Plug and Play? Clearance ok?
I replaced the incandescent OEM with LED high light bright white that helped .. some may require the led light fixture below bumper .. many types . I would install a relay to power on the LED lamps under the bumper .. use another power circuit to it with a fuse ..@ the relay contacts ..that so it will not effect another circuit ..

plug and play. i bought tons on ebay.amazon to test.
the 2 mentioned both tested at 12watts at advertised. For backup lights, there is more then adequate heatsinking. these specific ones don't have a bulky driver unit.
I've test run it previously, and these have drivers that drop the wattage to ~6w if left on too long. Forgot the max temp these will reach, but they drop wattage to keep it from exceeding thermal limits. Ran them for 30 mins straight, on a bench supply and checked on it with a thermal imager.
Not cheap.. but the items i linked form a plug and play, with way brighter then stock lighting
I also installed the DD kit, along with replacing both reverse lights and turn signal bulbs to LED, and it made a world of difference.
Plug and play. If you want to use the old turn signal as an additional reverse light (you should) it comes with a T-tap to tap into the existing reverse light signal.

Best $100 I've spent doing that setup. It's amazing.

new bulbs i linked totaled to 48w total
old bulbs i used came out to i believe 28w total. These new ones are much brighter. For those that need more power.
The camera is probably automatically adjusting it's brightness/contrast.

Turn your lights off while in reverse, or set the interior lighting adjustment wheel all the way up and you will see the difference

Aside from the really obvious solution, you could go with one of these. Or maybe consider a 360 degree camera system.

One other question and it would be for minimal time period anyway but because the turn signal obviously has a reflector meant for turning where is the beam output? Is it really high/blinding?
I'm on the fence but only because I don't like turn as tail eliminating the brighter stop portion when signaling if that makes sense...

You’re rear window tint brother! I get why you’d want to keep it but still, if it’s decreasing visibility that much perhaps lighten it up a bit. What transmission % is it?
My friend has a cheap $20 led ditch light as a reverse light on his GX and it’s really bright for a backup light, a license plate frame mounted led bar could help quite a bit. It would require some knowledge on circuits though if you wanted it to fire automatically when you shift into reverse. Or just have a shop install it.
