Reverse Squeal

I have an '06, and just this week, started noticing a squeal when I put the car in reverse. I bought this used, and have only had it 2 months, and never noticed it before.

I just recently had all brakes replaced...could it be the rear brakes or is it something else? THe squeal only happens in reverse.

tell tale frozen caliper

I'd be willing to bet it's NOT the caliper...but instead the parking brake shoes.

Brake Squealing is usually NOT a symptom of a sticky caliper.

The same thing happens to me, but only after I've been driving around on snow/ice in 4wd for a bit (usually with the ABS kicking in here and there).

Mine usually goes away within an hour of regular driving, and it only squeels in reverse.

I had the same issue for a week then it went away. I noticed it only did it in the morning when it was cold. It's been very cold this month but no squealing as of yet.

Mine does this now briefly when I reverse. I replaced the front pads a couple months ago. Could it be that I didn't put enough grease between the pads and the shims?
