One thing that I want to point out, though maybe somebody already has in this thread:

Make sure not to smash the seals for the hinge assembly too far in. I did this in my case and ended up not being able to insert the bearing spacers all the way in since the inboard seal ended up constricting the space.

This is definitely the one single post I should have read before installing mine. I did this as well, be very careful not to drive the seal in too far. fortunately I was able to work mine back out without damaging it and reset it. Thanks for your help [MENTION=116195]weekendclimber[/MENTION]

Has anyone hooked up brake lights to the bucket light spots? Im going to be placing my order in a couple of weeks and just want the extra lights back there in case the tire in the rack hides that tail light some. I also have my taillights tinted so i figured having a couple extra lights back there wouldnt hurt.

Just got done putting monstaliner on my front and rear 4x bumpers. Going to install them in a week after they're all cured.

Finally got it 90% install this weekend. Did it all myself. The rear was a piece of cake but the front was a huge PITA. My bros were going to help but I couldn't wait and just went ahead and got it done.

Last things to do are wire everything up. Just waiting for my waterproof connectors (for license plate, fog lights, & turn lights) and some wire to come in. I also need to relocate the winch control box.

Just placed an order for one of these with rear swing only. I also have some Dobinsons c59-210v on order. Anyone know if these will support the weight? Would like to keep a bit of a forward rake. I have 5100s and eibachs from bilsteinlifts in the front.

I don't know about other bumpers, but 4xI does offer a fill plate for the bumper gap.

Late to the party.
LOVE my rear bumper!! No issues whatsoever and Adam was fantastic to work with. I got the carrier angled and had Adam work out a Rotopax attachment for me.

Sorry for the dark pic. It was early and raining on the way out this morning. This has the seven wrap SS1.2. Sitting level in my driveway with a drawer system and tools adding about 150 extra pounds in the back.

Curious why you chose angled vs vertical?

Attempting to revive this timeless thread since I finally pulled the trigger on a 4x swingout after drooling over them for the past four years. Just to be clear, a few of you guys are running LC 7 wraps with this swingout bumper? I know it's far more popular to run OME 861s with swingouts on our rigs, but I don't really want my rear to be that high.

I'm running the LC 8 wraps (double purple, blue, white) and it definitely still has about an inch of rake with a full size spare (285), high lift jack (54"), and a jerry can with fuel. :thumb:

Awesome, thanks for the speedy response! I can't tell you how many times I've gone over this thread. I wonder if I'll be darn near level with my 7 wraps then. How are you liking you bumper now that you've had it for awhile? Any complaints?

I absolutely love it! The only complaint I have is that I should have gotten the fold out table along with it, but that's on me :rofl:

I'm running 861s with this bumper and with no added weight, it has about 2" of rake. With all my camping gear, it's level. I plan to add a permanent awning and drawer/sleep platform so I'm sure it'll all level out.

Thanks for the input! With the 861s being so high, do you have extended stainless steel brake lines? And a panhard correction kit and/or adjustable panhard bar?

I added toytec extended SS brake lines. I have a 2002 so it came with 2 brake lines. One was extended and the other was the same length as the original so no sure what that's about.

I also welded in an eimkeith PCK and added Sonoran Steel body mounts.

One thing I dont like aboit the 4x rear bumper is I have the dual jerry can holder and to me it sits too low. If I were to hit a steep climb, the jerry can holder will be the first thing to hit the ground. I would suggest either going with a single jerry can holder or the rotopax system. Other than this, I LOVE the rear bumper!

I did install the SS rear body mounts beforehand. When I did a 1" BL, I managed to lose part of one of them and it squeaked too badly for me to stand not doing that.

Has anyone ran this bumper with a ladder? I ordered mine on Monday but I'm pretty sure I'll have to dump the Gobi ladder I have based on pictures I've seen.

I got the bumper with the swing out, rotopax storage and hi lift mount.

If not this thread, there's another one with measurements to determine if a Gobi would fit. I also have one, but plan on dumping it. From what I've read and seen, it depends on the attachments you choose to get. I suspect the Rotopax storage would interfere with the ladder. With that being said, Adam at 4xInnovations is praised for his customer service, and I've read you can email him about modifications to make the ladder fit.
