RG79's SR5 Build Thread

Thanks, how are those sliders treating you???

I've been loving them! Had them powder coated in texture black. Looking to order the trail trim they offer to finish it off.

Anyone Interested in SoCal???

Icon S2 Modular Performance Shock System

I have been interested in the Icon S2 system for quite some time now. So I pm'd joneseyyy to get some feedback on the S2 system he had on his truck. Not only did he give me good information(feedback) but, also made me aware that he still had his old S2 System. This system was no longer needed as he upgraded to the TC upper/lower control arms along with TC dual shock hoop. He made me a great deal that I could not pass up. Here are some pics he sent me before they were shipped out, I am excited to get this on my T4R. My only decision now is which secondary shock to run. I am either going to run the Omega bypass or the 2.5 resi w/ cdcv. Thanks Again Joneseyy for helping me out.

I have decided that I am just going to run the Icon Omega 2-tube bypass as my secondary shock. I have the same shock in the rear and it performs very well. I am also going to have to relocate my windshield washer bottle and I am looking into my options. I am also going to be getting rid of my front sway bar and adding TC spindle gussets

I can't wait till my wheel well looks like this

Here is a pic of the WW reservoir I am considering but, it's pricey.....

just so you know, we're working with Expedition One to develop a new reservoir that uses a urethane OEM style container that holds 2 gallons of washer fluid, and doesn't require you to extend or modify your lines or harness. should be available in the next few weeks

Ok, Let me know I am not putting this stuff on anytime soon.

Finally

OK, I got some more goodies and now it is finally time to get this stuff installed. I am hoping to get out to jdemello shop in Corona just need to get a time set up. Also jdemello if you happen to read this is the water reservoir relocation a 100% necessary for the S2 kit?? Anyway here is a pic of the goods.

Update

Just Installed the S2 Modular Suspension with the Omega Bypass and a custom spindle gusset

Here is a quick pic I took.

I will take more and post more info later

Upgrades

Ok, So I added the Icon S2 Modular suspension system with the Icon Omega Bypass shock. I also added new rear CSS Springs along with the Icon air bumps. The CSS springs are a 1" lift on the passenger side and a 1.25" lift on the driver side both 15% spring rate increase. I also added some pearlj10 rear sway links

So far the S2 Suspension performs amazing adding the second shock up front makes a HUGE difference. I have my CDCV set all the way soft and barley adjusted my Bypasses up and it rides very smooth but can handle very large obstacles with ease. Thanks joneseyyy for hooking me up with the S2 system and thanks SOcalTRAIL for the shock advise.

Here are some pics, i am digging the new set up

Some more pics of the S2 System. and the new rear springs and air bump with the omegas

Have to agree, you have definitely outdone yourself. Liked your first build a lot! I live down in San Diego and will be getting a new 4Runner, does your shop work with individuals or is it just dealerships?
