Ok, just got home, unloaded the truck, washed the truck, and am now uploading photos. All before I have a shower, after 3 days in the bush....lol
Was one of the best wheeling trips I've been on, period. A nice small and capable group of drivers/trucks, mixed in with fairly decent weather, and some good times by the fire, made for an awesome Canada Day long weekend. There isn't much story to tell other than what the pictures dictate, so scroll down already.
Props to Matt for the photo and some post processing from yours truly. The Duster showing what IFS flex is all about!

I like that rear bumper. Nice that's it's not all plate, or all tube.
Not sure how your 4R works with all that armor and weight, but I imagine it must be quite the dog? Mine is feeling the 33's! Downshifting required on any hill that's more then a slight increase in gradient. Off-road with the gear I had I felt bad for the clutch sometimes unless I was in 4L. Thankfully these switch in and out of 4L well.

What a fantastic way to spend Canada Day with great friends and trucks of course.
We met up Saturday and proceeded to our first campsite, echoe's of excitement were heard on the radio as we approached the site because it was EMPTY! Knowing that it's usually busy everywhere Canada Day long weekend, we were expecting a full house coming up to the lookout and much to our surprise and excitement... We had it all to ourselves! I decided that this weekend was the one to change up a little bit on how I usually camped. I tented it, opposed to the usual "truck camp" with the sleeping platform and it was fantastic! The following morning after an epic breakfast, we proceeded to our first trail and it turned out to be a rather scenic trail! What made it cool was we had no idea where it took us and when it finally ended...We were in British Columbia! After a quick air up session, we scurried back to Alberta to get settled in our next campsite and again it was another AMAZING site with a raging river and a pool at the bottom! Next thing you know, everyones settled and the stoves and grills are out and a cooking frenzy has started!! After everyone was stuffed from their epic campsite meals, we settled down at the fire to relax and recount our trail tales of the day passed. The next day, we tried another trail that had a bit of everything... Rocks, water crossings, technical flexiness etc... Addison and I had arranged a competition for our vehicles to see which one was actually the "better one" and today, the Dirt Duster came out on top! It was a little bog hole with a sharp climb over a ledge-tree root and the Duster made it look easier than it actually was! We wrapped up an exciting long weekend and lounged at a local pizzeria in Waterton National Park...Looking forwards to the next session!

you take some pretty awesome shots! I love seeing photos of 4Runners, Tacos, and Land Cruisers in action, I wish there was a job that I could do for $$ to do that kind of stuff! Your views outrival many views out here, I live in the Northern Rockies... Wish I lived there just to be part of the 4WD group, would be sweet!

Thanks a lot! As I always say, I encourage everyone to head up to Canada if they get a chance, especially if your into the outdoors! And I had a browse through some of your photography, definitely some great shots in there as well!
UPDATE
I didn't really expect to get out much with the 4Runner and my limited number of days off work (I head back to work on Tuesday...) but a short 2-day trip kind of fell in my lap and I simply couldn't refuse. Not really too many scenic shots, I noticed while doing my post processing, but a few shots I think you all will enjoy, nonetheless.

Stumbled across this post and saw your reply by chance when I revisited this thread to see what new, rad/awesome shots you had posted, and I wasn't disappointed! That is actually pretty cool, to swap 4Runners on the trail and compare them!

Oh, created a separate photolog myself, of T4R offroad a while back, nicer than mixing it all up with my build thread...So now I actually have a good thread with just T4R stuff...
