Do you have any details on how you used the heat gun to mold the rub spots in the fenders? any tips? I want to run a similar rim setup but am running into this rubbing issue. I have a heat gun and if there is no significant trimming involved I want to pull the trigger

Nothing special about it. I just heated up the plastic until it was soft enough to mold out of the way. I think I used the back of the handle of a large screwdriver to mold it away. Nothing to difficult.

Hey T4R, i know its been a while, but I am still alive. Just been pretty busy with a newborn and work. Really excited about the new addition to the family.
Just wanted to give a huge thank you and shout out to Dustin over at FN Wheels. This new Gunmetal color on the Countersteer type X is awesome! His customer service is on point as always as well. It's been over 3 years since i've changed my shoes and I think it is finally time. The old wheels and tires are for sale.
I'm stoked about the rotational weight savings I'm going to get at each corner and the gain in MPG, drivability and acceleration. I do need your help on deciding on tires though. I am going to go with the new BF Goodrich K02's but i'm indecisive on which size to go with.

I like the width and stance on the 285's but I do like that the 34's are taller and lighter. Price doesn't matter to much since they are very close in price. If i go with the 285's I will shave 7.5lbs total at each corner but if I go with the 34's I'll shave 10.5lbs each versus my current setup. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

Some more updates on the rig.
Finally got around to installing the 2014+ headlights. Everything fit great and was a pretty easy install. All I did was order the 2014+ trim pieces from Shrockworks, find headlights and a grill. Everything else was an easy bolt on job. I'm really happy with the updated look of the rig. I'm a huge fan of the 14+ front end.
I also sold the Gobi rack last week. Excited for my new setup which should be here this week. I'm excited about all the things i decided to change about the truck. I went with 275/70 K02's on the Konig Countersteer X's (Huge thanks to Dustin at FN Wheels!) and they are perfect. I'm now seeing 16mpg city compared to 11mpg from the old setup which is a huge difference. The truck responds much better with the smaller and lighter wheels.
I still have to get a fridge, dual battery setup or a 31m battery (still trying to figure out which route to go), rear storage and maybe a rear bumper in the future. I also have some LED bars to install once all that arrives.
If anyone is trying to get rid of their CBI rear bumper with or without swing out, LMK.
Doesn't she look bald without the roof rack?

After much deliberation and many sleepless nights i finally decided on which fridge to go with. An emergency 1500 mile road trip we have to take this week and needing to keep breastmilk fresh for my newborn for the entire trip was the real kicker.
I went with the Dometic CFX 35. I went with this fridge based on performance and price. I was thinking about the Indel B 40 and the ARB 37 but after seeing this article from 4wd action in Australia, i knew I had to go with the Dometic.
Luckily it was available through Amazon Prime since I needed it quick. Ordered it Sunday night and it showed about an hour ago. I plugged it right in and it's cooling super fast. I also like that there is a USB port on the front of the fridge which my phone is connected to. So far so good, but the true test will be in the coming weeks. I will report back with my findings but i'm expecting this thing to perform without any issues based on what others have said about it. The fridge feels pretty robust and the build quality is spot on.

Big thanks to Timbren Industries for allowing me to test these new Timbren SES bump stops for the 5th gen T4R. I'll be towing about 4k lbs for 800 miles next week and will see how these work out. I'm sure they are going to be great. These bumpstops will be available very soon. Will report back once i get some miles on them.

Looks like they bolted right. If so that would be very nice upgrade as my truck will be used for the occasional towing. So I would love to have a set with my weight distribution hitch.

Those are the stock projectors in there right now. Not sure if i'm going to retrofit them in the future.
