RIGID 30 inch single row light bar in lower grill

Okay, last Rigid light. This one was a pain.... I mean real pain to install.
The Light bar mount was to small??? Come on Rigid check yo $hit please.
Had to bend the ears out and back in and then made a mess borrowing down into the ears so that the light bar would sit at the right level in the lower grill.

Here is what i started with



This is the finished product.


ears i had to borrow down into the get the light bar to set at the correct height. And i had to bend them out due to length not being right.

Drilled through the frame on both sides, which was not as hard as i thought it was going to be.

and now the real reason i did this. To hide a very expensive light bar in my lower grill. Almost unnoticeable

Hopefully the rain will stop so i can go out and take some night time shots.

The light bar is silly bright. I think it is brighter than the other rigid light i have mounted.

Nice install, thanks for sharing! Looks like you went with the SR2 combo 30" - Much brighter than the older SR series light bars for sure. I have one on my roof and it has awesome output

From Rigid, really? That's disappointing. Especially when you could do some "freestyle" work and make some flat bar do the same thing for about $15 at Lowe's.

I know right.... Rigid light bar should = rigid light bar mount, right??? WRONG.

Its okay though, the mount was only 22 dollars on amazon.

Oh, well that's not so bad then. I was expecting a higher price tag, not as much of a disappointment then.
