Called my dealership today....asked about the TRD rims on the 4R site, I figured since it has been displayed a while they had to have 'some' info....

She did a lot of digging with me on the phone and came up with the part number:

PTR45-35010 with a list price of $399.00 each

Said that there was not a single one in the system (have not been released)

The one they have pictured I believe is the PTR45-34070 for the:
Toyota : Land Cruiser 2008 - 2011
Toyota : Sequoia 2008 - 2010
Toyota : Tundra 2007 - 2010

I love the look, but might be too steep for my wallet!
 
They do exist, there is a Tacoma PreRunner here in Killeen, TX with them and they were installed at the local dealer. Nice rims B/T/W

Does he have these:

or these installed?

(6 lug version obviously)

They look similar, just want to make sure.
 
Almost positive they are the bottom ones but will have to see next time I see the truck driving around. I saw the truck at the dealer on the rotating display on a Sunday and by Monday it was gone.
 
The 6 lug has been out for quite a while . FJ TT 17" , Tundra rock warrior package 4x4 17" . All fit the 4R.

I would live to get a set of those !! I don't know if they have same offset and BS as the factory TE edition wheels I have though. I would like a slightly different offset than my factory wheels .

The FJ TT ones are 16 inch,not 17 inch and won't fit our 5ths as we have bigger brakes. The Tundra Rock Warrior ones are 5 hole with 14mm studs as they changed to 5 lug several years ago.

There are no TRD wheels that fit our truck....................yet!
TRD wheels are forged Aluminum I believe and the reason for the high price tag.
Most aftermarket wheels are cast .

I have searched all over the net with the part number she gave me but nothing has come up. Do you think it is a legit part number (just not released yet)? I have a feeling I might be trying it a couple times a month to see what, if anything, pops up.

That part number is probably legit ,they are just not available yet and so new.
I'd bet big bucks they will be coming out this year ,it's just a matter of when.They sure are sweet!They had a set on the Baja 4Runner this year in the BAJA 1000 . Here are some pics Blair posted over on the 120 forum.... Very sad sight.... - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum
 
A reliable source tells me that the wheels are legit, and should be out very soon. If your interested you might want to check back. I also confirmed the part number.

Hmmm... I don't like them nearly as much in those photos. That sucks because I'd pretty much figured on these as being my replacement wheels.
 
I guess I forgot to post what little info I got from the parts guy at Lake City in January: the "official" word he got was that the inclusion of a TRD wheel in the accessory brochure was a mistake that made it into print.

were one-offs and were not ever intended for mass production.

I asked him about the part numbers and he said part numbers get added all the time for book keeping purposes but that doesn't mean that it will have a corresponding piece to go with it or that they will be released for sale to the public as some parts of destined for racing teams or test vehicles etc.

Personally, I hope he's lying but he hasn't given me any bogus info yet.
