offset/wheel spacer?

Well they Finally shipped out on Monday and arrived this morning!

I got home from work and went strait to Discount Tire.

EDIT: Breakdown of costs for wheel/ tire upgrade:
$920: New 17x8 Konig wheels with shipping
$300: Used 285/70/17 Duratracs
-750: Sell old Tires & wheels locally
$470 Total

Went to the spray n' wash.

What do you think?

Just curious what the offset was on these 17's and if you used a wheel spacer? The ride looks great

Ok, did my research and learned how to make HDR effects ....with single image using photoshop or multiple expposures...Cool!!

-10mm Offset
No spacers (not even close to needing them)
Fits like a dream.

Its alright, not quite what I was expecting. Its much better on the highway though, and I have power whenever I need it now.

I am planning on doing a full exhaust system this spring, I may have to do the 2.2 pulley as well.

Yup, pretty much. They will last through the winter, but not long after that.

Thinking about BFG all terrains in 275/70/17 next time around.

Ok, did my research and learned how to make HDR effects ....with single image using photoshop or multiple expposures...Cool!!

yeah kinda, It all works better if you can take the 3 pictures. But with a single photo you gotta do like what you saw. Make at least 3 different exposures in Photoshop then i use a program called Photomatix to make the HDR effect. Its an awesome program, you can do all kinds of things there. ive become very obsessed!

id say its way noticable compared to an n/a 5vz. especially if you are towing or have a heavy load. its nice to have immediate passing speed at 80mph+ too.

Other than black Id say this is my favorite color for a 4runner. The tint on the windows and the black rims/wheels look fantastic with that color! Easily one of the best looking trucks on the forum brotha

Its a lot faster than the stock 3.4, but it is still a 3.4 in an SUV..

First of all.. yes I am aware my photos have quit working. The bandwidth meter on my photobucket account resets on the 27th.

Now, I know what you all are thinking, and NO, I have not forgotten about the 2M HAM radio sitting in a box in my room. I know the updates have been lacking lately, but that should all change soon. I have been out of work for 2 months with a broken foot..

With the HAM radio, I am working on a power folding antenna as this antenna will be the tallest one I have, by far.

Something along the lines of this one..

I have also determined where I want to mount the radio itself. I will wire it directly into the battery and mount the radio in the driver's footwell on the side of the center console, but far enough back that is closer to the radio than it is to the shifters.

Another update: As a few of you have noticed, my tires are about on their last leg.

I have already decided on my next set... I will be getting 265/70/17 Duratracs in the C load range.

There are a few reasons I am going back down to 32's. But the main reason is power. I have been disappointed thus far with the power gains from the supercharger, and I hope going down a tire size will give me back some of that power I should have. If I am still feeling the lack of power, I may look into the URD 2.2" pulley.

The second reason is I got a job at a ski area that is about 3 hours away. I will be living there full time during winter break. But, I will still be doing a lot of trips back and forth. I wanted a tire that will give me some Highway MPGs back and still be an excellent snow tire.

So there it is, beyond that nothing will be done until summer in 2012.

lol... well I think I want an FMU soon, you did a damn good job with yours. My C230 has that same kind of LED on the bottom of the mirror, too, that was a good little addition on your part. I might copy you someday.

I am definitely gonna steal one idea from you... I need a rubber ball on my CB antenna. I can't remember exactly what post where you said what it actually was... what did you use again?

Thanks. With that LED if you do that, move it somewhere else on the FMU console. Like by the buttons where the mirror cant see it. I get a small reflection of it in the rear view mirror. Not in the way at all, just a bit annoying at night.
