Spent about an hour reading your first build thread, your return thread and this one. Good reads and great looking ride. I have the same 02 sport thunder cloud and it is good to what it can look like after some mods.

Went through the thread. Not a thing I would do differently. In case you were lacking motivation, let me just say: bumper gap.
Side note: what's the green sticker on your back window?

That damn bumper will be the death of me. The sticker is a Zia symbol, basically represents the state of New Mexico.

I guess it's all relative... but going full plate bumpers and the icon suspension seems a bit past "little" to me. haha. Still an amazing build and one I still follow.

Paint the flanges on the front of your fenders Black. Even though I dont have a bumper gap the Desert Dune flanges showing up behind my Shrockworks was driving me nuts.

What I meant was that even a small lift and some minor cosmetic stuff really looks nice too.

That is a good looking bumper. Was the installation of the apex much different then the other aftermarket bumper you had?

When I ordered it I begged them to make it for a body lift but All Pro doesn't play along.

Its a tacoma bumper, so it mounts similar to the ARB and Addicted bumpers where you have to cut the frame ends off and weld end caps with fastening studs in. The downside do it being a tacoma bumper, which I found out after I tried to mount it, is that the two bolts on the side of 4runner mounts arent in the same spot as tacomas. So that will need to be fixed as well.

The bumper on my previous truck was made to bolt right on to 4runner bumper mounts, that didn't stop the bolts from not aligning properly there either though.. that was just a cause of poor manufacturing though.

I didn't see you post them anywhere and I'm on the fence about installing my 861s. I don't want too much rake, but I want more than I have now. I like the way your rig sits too!

Thanks! Looks like we sit the same up front already and the 861s would bring my rear up 1.5" to make up for all the weight I've added back there. Taking into account your body lift. Might go ahead and swap them one of these upcoming weekends. Thanks again!

I am about to list my 4Runner for sale. I really don't want to sell it, but as a third car it doesn't get driven much anymore and I could use the money. What I worry about is that I will end up doing the same thing you are doing, building another shortly after. I guess a positive is that you can build it better the second time around.

Do you still have your S4? I have a '15 S3 and love it, but might try to sell that soon as well.

I am sad to see you say that my friend, yours is such a clean one! But I can understand the reasons. At the point I am at now, I am glad I sold mine and restarted. I was able to do things way better like you mentioned.

I had to downsize when I first moved here so its just the 4runner for now. But, I have a new place so I am slowly looking for a fun DD again. I really do miss the S4 though.

Send me a PM with the info or ad when you do, my girl is also looking to get a clean 3rd gen.

Got the bumper gap fixed finally.

Also in the works is a minor revamp of the electrical system. I have all the parts here, just need to find time to do it.

I will be adding an ignition relay to the Blue Sea fuse box circuit and making a new version of the acrylic fuse box mount. Also adding a firewall plug so I don't feed everything through grommets like I have been. Lastly, I will be putting all the switches on a plate under the radio and using a bunch of fancy Contura V switches from OTRATTW.
