Ripcord's 2002 Sport Ed. Version 2.0

Antenna Switch

I'm trying to understand why you used DPDT switch for the antenna instead of the SPST switch? I mapped out my antenna switch using an SPST switch as follows:

8 and 7 jumped and grounded to chassis
2 Antenna wire from new deck (Pioneer blue\white)
3 Toyota radio antenna wire (gray\yellow)
6 Toyota radio illumination wire (green)

Will this not work? thanks.

The factory radio antenna operates different than the antenna mount I had that switch wired to.

Factory antenna goes up and stays there with power on, and goes down with power off.

The Antenna mount I had here moves with power until power is stopped. Then moves in the opposite direction with reverse polarity power.

Most of you know that I picked up a Tacoma like I said I would. Bought it stock in December and have been building it up steadily since then.

Regarding my 4Runner.

I fixed the broken suspension parts and sold it mostly intact to someone who quickly fixed the cosmetics side of things.

And the final news I have is that I have decided to leave my Job at King Offroad Racing shocks and will be moving back to Colorado.

I have accepted an engineering job at SPC (the control arm company)

That Taco looks really good. You know to to keep a presentable truck.

Congrats on the new job. I hope that Colorado welcomes you back after your stint in Cali. As old as the CA/CO argument is there's still no clear winner to me. There both great states if your the active outdoor type. When I come visit CO to get some wheeling done I'll look you up. Just not on Instagram. lol
 
thanks dude! CA has been the 2nd favorite of the states I have lived in, but it doesn't compare to CO for me.

The main thing i'll miss is the ocean.

Your 4Runner was one of my all time favorites ever since I first started to look into getting in one. Love the Tacoma though, I think that was a good move! They look so good and I actually almost bought one. Best of luck at the new job as well!

In preparation for some major upcoming mods, I needed to upgrade the fuse box setup. As much as I liked my last fuse box setup, it was lacking some things.. ignition relay, firewall pass through, and room for switches!

The purpose of the ignition relay is so that the entire fuse box circuit is only active when the truck is on. To prevent these accessories from draining the battery.

I also had a new light bar I needed to install.

Parts/Cost:
$260 - Black Oak LED 20" single row combo pattern LED Light Bar
$103 - OTRATTW Switches
$24 - Firewall fitting
$25 - 12V 100A relay
$20 - Paranoid Fabrication 1-DIN 6-switch plate
$30 - Green 1/4" acrylic

Tools:
-Wiring tools
-Drill w/2" hole saw
-Heat gun
-Tape measure
-Other basic tools

Time:
It was a fairly custom mod, so it took a while. Probably 8 hours total, taking my time.

Procedure:
This will be the new wiring diagram for the fuse box itself:
