super sick man! Looks like mine except my emblem is silver haha. I'm curious to see what your gonna do with your tranny temp gauge. I've been putting it off because I want to do a scangauge. But then again I'm a sucker for a real gauge.

Thanks! your build is one of the builds that is keep looking at for ideas.

looks good bro. i was wondering how that bumper was gonna look. idk abot the mounting bracket though. got any good pics of it?

I sure do.. these are the only two i have. i can take a specific picture if you know what you want to see?

Im also going repaint the gold emblem. it has a few chips on it. the gold i will use will probably be more metallic than the original gold.

Haha well I'm glad I can help out. Its a ways away but your gonna have to come with us to Disney in the summer. I'm trying to get all the OK guys together for a couple days of wheeling and camping. I'm already excited about it!

HECK YA :guitar3: just shoot me a PM when you are heading down and i will try my best to make it. Disney is about an hour away from me. The BMR will be my first time off road... after my trans cooler stuff is done (hopefully before BMR), sliders will be the next item of protection.

Yea I've talked to some people and its looking like 4 guys off of here and then my buddy is gonna bring his built Xterra. Hopefully I will have my Aussie Locker and 35s in by then, oooops did I give away my secret plans? haha :heh:. I'm gonna make a thread on it closer to that time and get a decent group going.

Also speaking of trans coolers I should probably do that too. I've had it for a year but since I went to CO I haven't been too worried about overheating.

ya CO weather is pretty cool all year, oklahoma on the other hand hit 118 ish last summer :wow: so that and the Pink Milkshake are the reasons for the install. Im excited to see your T4R on 35's that'll be cool. everything suspension and tire wise on my runner is stock so far so i may not hit it to hard till that changes.

Last summer was rough to say the least. Yea I'm super pumped to get it up on 35s. I've gotta get my body lift in, modify my bumpers/sliders, sell my 33s and then its time for the big ones.

:reddance: ordered a Hayden 678 so it'll be here friday.
ill be installing the gauge and the cooler together. i hope the weather gets a little better though :rain: and do not worry i will be posting pics of the install.

Think about replacing the bulb with an led bulb. Runs cooler and draws less power.

Here is another big question. Is it worth the extra money to switch from regular tranny fluid to full synthetic fluid?? since I am going to be working on my transmission stuff this weekend I might as well get it all done. Thanks.

Whip ant. install

well after running the coax from the length of the 4runner i got everything set up.

the only thing i noticed is where the back hatch rubs a little and for some reason now i hear static when i lock the doors or adj my side view mirrors. any help there? i did have a lot of extra coax so i think that might be the problem. other than that i havent really tested it out yet so i hope i did everything right.

I see you found the vent! FYI don't coil up your extra coax cable, it will mess with the signal. Looks like you have a lot of extra coax? Looks good though man!

it took a little bit to find out how to get is and also to get the side of the rear bumper to move enough to get the cable in there. got everything put back together... no "extra" bolts left haha
That 102" whip looks titties bro!!!
HAHA thanks man!

another quick update UPS brought me these today!

(insert bad phone pic here ^^^)

also with it being the 28th my rear bumper poll is basically closed though i cannot figure out how to get rid of it... the tube bumper has the highest votes with 12 out of the 23 votes cast. so now it is time for some hard core saving and research for a tube rear bumper. thanks to everyone who voted. sorry i have the i voted sticker...if you really do want one save the pic below! :bounce:

Don't forget the savage bumper!!! I like it the best but the addicted is really sweet. Thing that got me is the swing gate honestly.

I like their bumper but it exposes to much of the spare tire and for visibility and weight placement sake I want to keep it where it is.

Yeah I can definitely see what you mean there. Me, my spare can't stay there not will it fit lol I will be doing an f150 tank swap this summer so it gots to go lol
