RockyRoad sliders VS Shrockworks

Alright I have been looking at sliders shrockworks look good and have positive reviews but the rockyroad sliders look well made to and are cheaper anybody else have any input? Plus the rockyroad sliders are about $100.00 cheaper!

Yeah read most of that no real input other then how far each one sticks out from the rocker. I am looking more for ease of install and powder coating quality.
 
Waiting for Shrockworks

All I have for input is that I have not received mine yet. Sep 20 order date... has not been shipped.

I always hear it is worth the wait so I hope it is true.

I don't know the turn around time for RockyRoad is but if you look towards Shrockworks then expect a long long wait. They quoted 8 weeks.
 
Rocky road sliders

RR are easy bolt-on, so far the powder coat looks great. Quick turn around. Very stout looking.
 
I went with Rocky Road Outfitters' Supersliders. They arrived 16 days after I ordered them. They were well protected, the PC was flawless, and I have zero complaints about them.

Installing them was only tough because I had a ton of dirt and sand in the holes used for mounting and I had to clean them out. I discovered this by partially cross threading one of the holes, but I was able to use one of the self-tapping mounting bolts for the KDSS lines to resolve that. Once I soaped and rinsed the bolt holes, it was a breeze. I would suggest investing in a pair of jack stands and a dead-blow hammer if you are installing them solo.

Did you have to drop the gas tank in order to put them on like the shrockworks sliders?

No. The passenger side was a clean bolt-up. The driver's side requires two spacers be inserted under the existing mounting points for the KDSS lines, which makes it a tad more challenging to slide into place. But working by myself, I was able to install them in less than two hours including all the steps I mentioned earlier.
 
I have the Rocky Road sliders. They were delivered within a week or so, cost was reasonable, and the install was simple - all bolting and maybe some drilling. They are very sturdy and fit tight. I have slammed mine into rocks, trees, etc.... and have lost a little of the PC. I removed mine and completely recoated them with black spray bed-liner to match my custom bumper. That stuff seems to be tougher than any PC.

Thanks for the info this is exactly what I was hoping to get out of this thread.
 
You got spacers? I just got a couple zip ties from SW to keep the KDSS lines from rubbing the slider mounts.

When I did my SW, you don't have to lower the Gas tank, just unbolt the skid and let it drop some. The install was fairly easy with a Floor Jack, I tried originally with just my self lifting and bolting, Not fun!

Yeah, they are 1/4 inch thick, powder coated black, and the go under the mounting brackets that sit on the frame below the driver's side back door.
 
My RR's are the original prototype pair. I was concerned that they wouldn't hold the weight of the vehicle as well as the SW's. I jacked my 4R up a couple inches using the slider as a jack point and they didn't seem to bend or anything. Powder coat is holding up well so far on the sliders. The extra step space of the SW's would be nice, but I like how the RR's look, both the slider itself as well as how it looks on the 4R.

I read a few other threads where people said they had to? I wonder if they let it drop to much? I am planning on having at least one person help me with them. I think I am going with rocky road sliders since I don't like to wait lol.
