I'm marrying into a family of Cubs fans. They all are from Chicago. Listening to my feature father in laws rants from over 70 years of baseball is funny at times. I hope he can finally see them win one. That and my Fiance' has a thing for Chris Bryant. I really give her shit about it.

That is definitely tough to marry into a cubbies family, so many years of "there's always next year". I too am crossing my fingers for this year to end years of last minute disappointments. Man....I just want to make it to the Series!! Go cubbies!!

I cannot describe to you what an impact Maddon has on that ball club. Too bad he can't coach football. LOL Well, maybe he can.

I concur though, he is an amazing coach and may have more followers than the stars on the roster.....no kidding aside.

I know that everyone has their stories when it comes to fans, but I am really sad that my brother-in-law's father passed away this year not so long ago. He is a perfect 10 on a 1 to 10 scale for a life-long fan....and I really hope he is seeing this somehow. That dude wouldn't miss a game if his life depended on it. Right until the end. Great guy and solid fan!!
