You Lost me. Are you trying to show its hard to tip even though FJ where worse then the 4runner?
Don't be like every crappy driver out there that swerves when they see a deer in the ditch and you'll incur zero risk.
LOL, yeah, Because nothing unexpected ever happens in life.
it says it's the worst large SUV, which makes sense because most of the other large SUVs are unibody and/or indendent suspension and the other large BOF sold rear axle SUVs are right behind the 4Runner on the listI guess I have to call BS on this conclusion. It says that the 4 Runner is the worst at 24.6%, but then goes on to list the Wrangler at 27.9%, and the Nissan NV3500 at 30.6%.
And then we lift themhwell:
In the testing lab, the lab and the real world are the same thing. In the real world, there's a difference between academia (testing lab) and the real world.
I would put as much or more weight on empirical evidence in the complex system that is the real world of driving than on limited lab tests of very unusual situations. The 4Runner is a very safe vehicle compared to most. The column under "personal injury" and "medical payment" are the two categories that give a really good idea of the injury to passenger IN the vehicle. The 4Runner is very safe to be in. 4Runner has the lowest personal injury and lowest medical payment claims of any midsize SUV in the chart. (Also jeep wrangler drivers crash into other people a lot more than anyone else)
Insurance loss information Choose midsize SUV

the jeep renegade was the only one on the list that surprised me
I saw a dashcam video of a car clipping a 5th gen at highway speeds. The Runner did a 180 but it didn't look like it wasnted to flip. I was impressed.
Buying my first 4runner, I was concerned by the rollover stats I'd seen. On the test drive, I purposely did some too-fast turns at an intersection where the road was banked the wrong way, causing it to move in the tipping direction. My conclusion was that it was okay. I could feel the difference compared to an old Ford Explorer, but it wasn't terrible.Question for the group and those that use this as a family/ HWY Hauler.
Whats the roll over risk here?
