Need bigger versions of those pics!Another option...full length Bajarack. Note you can use the Gobi ladder with Bajarack.

You are a rockstar. Did you happen to see what it was dead center of the sunroof at the high point of the roof? No photo needed, just curious as that is where my measurements were taken.
How has your mpg been? I already have taken a hit for the 285s and lift so I am not super worried, but curious.
The measurement was taken at the passenger side light tab, so not center roof. about an inch (maybe two) into the sunroof.
My commute was too short (1.5 miles one way) to really notice a difference. I haven't entered my mileage/refills into a spreadsheet yet, so can't really tell. I go about 116~120 miles between refills which is about 1/4 tank according to the cluster gauge.
Will be driving to downtown Indy starting January (whoohooo no longer out of a job) so we'll see what that does for changing the numbers.

Quick update, I have had my Rola Vortex on for a week, burned thru a tank of gas, maybe lost a 1-1/2 mpg, hard to tell windows have been frosted mornings so warming up is probably biggest factor in that. Wind noise is about the same as it was with just the Thule areo crossbars, if it is really windy maybe a little more but not bad even with radio off easy to carry on a conversation with the wife. Overall very happy.

As far as rubbing, I have a little rub at the bottom bumper plastic and a tiny one knocked some paint off the inside of the hatch up top. I touched up the top scratch with touch up paint, and am really not concerned bc it is inside the door jamb. My struts are hanging in there for now. One thing to note is that the Gobi ladder does contact the Bajarack, stopping the lift gate slightly below 'fully up'. I think I could dremel a few mm from the Gobi ladder amd have it clear the rack.

No worries guys, a hijack to me is talking about some other **** (yo, will 285s on 22z fit on stock lift) type posts.
I dig the awning. It is surprisingly similar to the awning on my Coleman tent trailer. Perhaps the same thing to be honest.
This is such a tough decision for me. I do not like the "in your face" look of the GOBI from the front, if it were the same height throughout I would be dead set on it. The Baja utility is nice looking, but no sunroof insert option (I do not want one now, but I know me, I always want what I cannot have) and no mesh floor, and $130 for shipping brings it almost to the cost of the GOBI, more if I buy the GOBI ladder to go with it.
I emailed a company out in Prescott that is a vendor for Baja. I am sure I will not get a response until after Christmas, but I am thinking if they can get it in and I can pick it up I will save on the shipping. I will spend as much on fuel, but I can take it as a trip to hang out as well since I am off until the 9th of January.
With more and more measurements, cardboard cutouts (yeah, if you couldn't tell, I am "that guy"), it seems the LoadWarrior would be perfect aside from not fitting in my garage (which it may just barely squeak by with my calculations, I will know once I get a measurement from fngfish). Keep the mpg loss to a minimum, cost is the least (within a hundred of the standard Baja rack, which is a very close comparison to this method), and if I decide to lift a little more (2.5/1.5 now, wouldn't change much) I would still easily fit in the garage as the rack would be off.
Decisions, decisions.

Ya that is the rack that Mike had. It is a really nice rack. IIRC he paid around $1500 for it, far beyond where I want to be.

Call Sandra at Gobi and tell her what you don't like- the raised front. I know Ducmonsta and Reata both had modifications to their Gobi from the standard rack. I bet they would make the side rails the same height all the way around for you. I didn't like that either- at first. Now it has grown on me, and it came in handy protecting my lights when I was carrying some plywood up there this summer.

I emailed the person I have been talking to and he said that it would not be an issue at all, just send a picture of what I am wanting. That makes it much more difficult to say no to the GOBI. That decreases overall height by 2", no issue even with more lift.
Anyone searching for GOBI racks, TrailDuty on eBay has fantastic customer service. Quick responses, and even as annoying as I am with questions has no problem helping.

I got word back from TrailDuty and can get the GOBI, ladder, and sunroof insert for $1400 shipped. You guys that got in on the group buy, is this a comparable price?
