i just bought a snowboard and i want to put it on the roof...but i don't know how. Can anyone help me out on what i need and do to mount a couple of snowboards on the top. Thanks!

Usually, i would fold down back seats to make room for boards, but a couple of friends plan on taking a trip in just one car. So I can't fold the seats. Thanks for the help!

if you have a copeland sports in san diego, i just saw a set of yakima 6 ski/4 board rack at the store up in norcal this weekend on sale for $59.99. that's the best deal i've seen so far without locks, which you can get for $20 or so.

otherwise, this online deal for $89.95 is the best i've seen, it includes everything you'll need, the mounts and locks. i bought mine from them in-store for the same price:

$59.99 is an INCREDIBLE deal. I just bought the Yakima 6 ski 'lift ticket' for $120.00!!!! at REI in so. ca. I also purchased the locking cores ($22.00) and the universal mighty mounts ($40.00) I probably could have found a better deal on the internet, but it was a last minute decision to hit the slopes here (Big Bear-snow summit). I also purchased some z-cable tire chains from Chick's sporting goods for a whopping $124.00 I know for sure I could have gotten a better deal through Vulcantire.com, but oh well, its just money right?!?!? The best part was that the snow conditions in so. Ca. are fantastic, the best I've seen in a loooonnng time!!!

that site looks awesome! I'll probably get it, but not this season. Season is almost over. I'm too poor...cause i was hoping i could mount my board with like ropes or something...but that doesn't look 'right' haha. I hope they would have an off season sale or something. yakima.com is an awesome site...it has everything that i was lookin for.

the liftticket has extended mounts for more clearance from the roof of the car. the powderhound however comes with a lifting block to 'tilt' the racks at an angel(about 20 degrees) to the roof rack for additional clearance as well.
