Rotors turned by Oriley auto parts

I think its funny when people say this. Even the Toyota Junkyards have a hard time getting Tundra's, and the ones they have are always too trashed. I looked for 3 months before biting the bullet on new parts.

As CJ mentioned Car-part helps. I luckily found some at my local pick-n-pull and only have $150 total for the entire swap. OP should be able to find some being in Sacramento. Rancho Cordova is right there and they have tons of parts yards.

I bought calipers, rotors, and pads from AutoZone. Paid about $300.

Well the store manager at Oriley isn't budging. Said he will give me 2 of these $29 ones for free . Says they are OEM equals, though I call BS. Or discount off of the bosh ones but I still pay Over $100. Now that I see the upgrade I really want to do that. I might take the free ones and sell them with my new Toyota Brake Pads. And do the upgrade. How is the Napa set? I see some for $120 with pads installed. Then I just get their rotors. Are these ok?

I Might go check out the yard In Rancho Cordova I work right next to there. See what they have. I need a new center console arm rest maybe they will have a better one. What years Tundra am I looking for?

I guess location has something to do with it. I've never seen a tundra or taco at self-serve yards tho, and i go quite a bit. I've seen 3rd gens only a handful of times. However, toyota trucks are in high demand in denver. it may be that they too high sell at auction for the yards to want to bite. car-part is a cool tool too, but even when i searched on there they were either too far or too expensive. If i ever see a tundra at a self serve yard tho, i'm pulling the calipers and post them in the classifieds :cheers:

I picked up my calipers/rotors from Yota Jim's off of 270. $300 for both calipers and both rotors He wouldn't budge, but the dealer quoted me $511 PER CALIPER with no core charge. He had several sets there, though idk if you could move them for more than $300?

Yeah this is what i'm talking about... If Jim had even a little bit better prices, i'd probably be there every weekend lol so i guess it's bittersweet - keeps more money in my wallet haha.

In some cases, i've found the Yota Yard a little cheaper. Word on the street is that Jim and the lady over at yota yard were married and are now divorced. it's inevitable that there be a little competition - so call around. you might even be able to mention jim's price and get her eager to take the business, this might be a low blow though.

to the OP, if you have time look around. car-part is a great resource but self serve yards will obviously be cheaper. like in most ventures, you either spend time or money to get the good stuff - its up to you which of the two you have more of.

Nice...I didn't know about the connection between Yota Jim's and Yota Yard. I'm not hesitant to use it by any means to get me some parts :driving:
