I installed 5100's all around this weekend - no other change.
The suspension felt great around town, big improvement over stock. It even felt great on the highway going 60 for a while.
After hopping on the freeway for a few minutes there's a harsh chattering when going 50-60mph or so. Doesn't happen on really smooth surfaces but very noticeable on the rough surfaces. Almost feels like high speed, small washboard.
I torqued everything to spec with a torque wrench. Except the top shock bolt since I couldn't get the wrench in there. I tightened those nuts until they 'stopped' and guesstimated the 18ftlbs. Years back I busted a shock by overtightening so I'm very cautious now.
There's a possiblity one or more of those is causing the chattering.
Any other possibilities I should check out?
Or does the 5100 just react differently to crappy road surfaces?
Thanks!
