Wow i never checked this thread after 2 comments. Just wow! If this makes 10 pages of comments, i might just as well throw away the rubber thingy.

actual recommendations

Although some seem to find this highly amusing, I could use some actual recommendations on what works best! I've tried a bunch of different types and have yet to find good fit. People have mentioned Yeti and Nalgene bottles as good fit. What size of each? If you remove rubber part, what fits well? If you leave in what fits well? How about those side doors-front and rear? My old 4th gen held costco 16.9 oz water bottle perfect. These seem smaller, any bottle recommendations? I have only had my 16 TRDPro for a couple weeks, and sure I could keep trying different sizes, which I have been doing for the fronts, but if anyone has nailed a container that fits great, like yeti or nalgene, please post specifics. Would prefer biggest water container, stainless steel or glass, that would fit snug(so it doesn't move around inside or rattle) with and without rubber part.
Thank you.

the "normal" nalgene bottle (1 liter size) is the exact size of the cup holders with the insert removed, this is also the same size as countless knockoff water bottles. These are the nalgene bottles I use, I don't like wide mouth bottles but the wide mouth is the same size: product ? Nalgene

If you're really that worried about it just head to REI or somewhere and buy a few, try them in the parking lot, and just return whichever ones you don't want.

(If you want to use smaller regular water bottles there is a spot in the door for those)

Should have just got a TRD Pro. Would have solved all problems

I still have those problems in my TRD Pro. Velcro is going to be my permafix. Right now I use the twist to release method to get my Yeti cup out of the plastic holder.
