Rubbing Issues after daystar lift and Spidertrax spacers

Hello!

Here's my setup so far...
2017 TRD off Road Premium with KDSS
I installed BFG KO2's 275/70R17 on stock rims and it was rubbing a bit at full lock (Front & reverse). I then had Daystar lifts installed 2.5 front & 1.5 rear with Spidertrax 1.25" spacers and its still rubbing at full lock. Is this normal or I need to fix my fenders/mudflap or do you guys think that its an alignment issue? Thanks!!

Just curious, why did you think it would NOT rub? There are hundreds of threads here that will tell you lifting does not help with rubbing and wheel spacers make it worse.

Everything you said above (mud flap removal, cutting bumper cover, moving caster setting, new UCA's, body mount chop, moving inner fender liner) could all be needed to get rid of the rub. If your heart's set on running wheel spacers, that lift and those tires then you have to be prepared to make them fit.

The good news is everything outlined above has been done many times before by various members. If you want to find out what they did, go to google and type:

5th gen 4runner moving inner fender liner

This will bring you right back here with all kinds of results on moving the liner for example. Next, just use the same format as above and substitute the words inner fender liner with , caster, UCA, body mount chop, etc and you will now know everything that could be needed and how to do it.

Not sure why you'd rub with 275's, especially after a lift. I'd probably remove the wheel spacers before cutting anything. Here's mine with a very mild lift & the same tires as you. No problems at all.

Because no two trucks are exactly the same. What rubs on one, will not rub on another.... with the exact same lift & tires.

I went the 275's after reading through this http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...r-5th-gen-tire-fitment-guide.html#post1550444 and it was all green for the 275. But when I encountered rubbing with no lifts I went with the cheapest solution for a lift thinking it would eliminate the rubbing, but threw in the spacers without much research and my guess is that the spacers is what is causing the rubbing. will try removing them first. Thanks

275s should easily clear with no lift.

The issue was your alignment and maybe a tiny bit of trimming required. The wheel spacers however can cause all types of additional rubbing with the scrub radius change.

And if not having much luck with the site's internal search function, use google for your searching... start it with things like "5th gen 4runner " and then add things like "rub after lift" or "rub wheel spacers"... etc. etc. You will find much reading on this topic!

Thanks all for your help and advice No more rubbing now!!! Just used a heatgun and a utility knife to fix the liner and bumper.
